Two days to go before the “Institut des Cultures d’Islam” (ICI) and the SouriaHouria association in Paris present 4 days where the Arts will gather to promote liberty in Syria.
On the 19th of June, a French-Syrian writer, Maram al Masri, will read some of her poems with the French actress Garance Clavel who will translate them. On June 20th , short documentaries about Syria during the revolution will be projected, and after, a debate will take place between the public and a Syrian movie director Hala Abdalla and a few young Syrian activists. On June 21st , a concert will be given by Soutour, a band of young Syrian musicians. They will cover traditionnal Syrian music but more specifically revolution songs. Then, on June 22nd , this event will finish on a literary brunch with readings and discussions about literature in Syrian prisons. All these artists will be giving their benefits to associations such as SouriaHouria (Syria Liberty) for the children and the refugees of Syria.
